I am your Green councillor for Portobello and Craigmillar Ward.
Having grown up in Portobello and returned here to raise my family, I am very committed to our area and the amazing communities across the ward. I am a Board Member of Action Porty, the group who successfully bought out Portobello Old Parish Church on Bellfield Street for community use. I volunteer in various capacities, from environmental clean-ups to helping organise Portobello Village Fair.
Over the past few years, I have seen the power our communities have to make positive change. With the help of locally-minded and socially conscious representatives in Council we could achieve so much more. This is why I am running to represent Portobello and Craigmillar on Edinburgh City Council.
I want to make a difference in people’s lives across Craigmillar, Portobello, and Edinburgh as a whole. I want to bring sustainability and social justice to the heart of Council activity, and fight to make Edinburgh a fairer, greener city. I truly believe that if we want to change the world for the better we can do so together by starting locally and building from there.
